Papion is a gentle and brave little dog who has survived the horrific conditions of the public shelter in Târgu Jiu, a place where daily suffering and hardship are the norm. Despite going through terrible moments, Papion has not lost hope and dreams of a life full of love and safety.

This is Dana. She’s 6 years old, with a curious look and a heart that still dares to hope.
She’s gentle, quiet, and always watching the world around her — just in case someone might see her.
She lives in a shelter where her dreams are simple: a full bowl, a peaceful corner, and most of all, a loving touch.

Pictured is Maronică. He grew up tormented, chained and isolated from the people he would have needed affection and socialization from. Now he’s very afraid of people, but he’s a warm and harmless little wimp, never bites.

Eros, who came to us from the public shelter in Târgu Jiu, can’t believe he’s being petted. That people speak to him kindly and gently, that they care about him.

He’s a tall, handsome dog, almost addicted to affection. After all, he seems to have missed so much.
