Fin – Survivor of a Public Shelter

From a distance, Fin may seem simply timid or reserved. But the truth is far harsher: NO ONE can get close to him. His whole body trembles, every fiber seems to vibrate with fear, as if his entire being is made of pure terror.

There are no words to describe what Fin feels. Any gesture from us makes him freeze instantly. He doesn’t bite or run, but the tension in his body speaks for itself: he expects the worst. He is a dog marked by human cruelty and neglect, and until now, his world has been one where safety and love are only distant memories.

Working with Fin will be long and challenging. He may never become a “typical” dog — one who seeks human closeness and feels completely safe around people. But Fin teaches us what empathy truly means and how much harm its absence can cause.

Through sponsorship/adoption at a distance, you can help provide the food, care, and emotional support he needs to learn, step by step, that safety and gentle attention do exist.

Stand by Fin. Beneath his deep fear is a soul that deserves a chance to trust and feel peace.

Through a monthly donation you can remotely adopt one of Speranta’s dogs and help pay for their food, shelter and medical care.

The amount is of your choosing and you, or the lucky person you adopted the dog for, will receive regular updates and pictures.
