Become Zora's hero, even from afar

A very serious case in Tecuci – a poor puppy, 6-7 months old, was hit by a car. 💔

Unfortunately, she lost one of her legs, and we managed to save a second one from amputation, but sadly, she won’t be able to use it either. This little one urgently needs help and, most importantly, a chance for a better life.

To ensure a better life for her, she needs financial support to cover her necessary care, and you can contribute by sponsoring her from a distance. All donations will go towards improving her quality of life, providing her with food, medical care, and an easier life.

Sponsor her and help her have a better life!

How your sponsorship helps Zora

Every dog at Speranța Shelter deserves food, warmth, medical care and love, whether they find a home next month or spend many more years with us.

Dogs like Zora often wait the longest for a home. Whether or not Zora ever finds a forever family, your sponsorship means they never go without.

Although your sponsorship is linked to Zora, your donation also helps us care for every dog at Speranța Shelter. Together, we make sure no rescued dog is ever left without the essentials they need.

By sponsoring Zora, you’re helping provide:

  • Nutritious meals every day
  • Veterinary care, including check-ups, medication and treatment whenever needed
  • A safe place to live, with warm shelter during Romania's cold winters
  • Exercise, enrichment and companionship to keep them healthy and happy
  • Special care, rehabilitation or mobility support if their condition requires it

If you’d rather make a single contribution instead of sponsoring monthly, you can make a one-off donation to support Zora.

Your gift will help cover the cost of food, veterinary care, shelter and everything else they need throughout the year.

Unlike monthly sponsorship, this option does not include regular updates or a dedicated sponsorship relationship with Zora. It’s simply another meaningful way to help provide the care they deserve.

Why dogs like Zora need sponsors

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.

Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.

Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.

Sponsorship allows dogs like Zora to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
