Become Regina's hero, even from afar

Adopt Regina from a distance – turn fear into royalty

Regina is a brave little girl who came from the horrific shelter in Târgu Jiu, where she experienced only trauma and fear. But now we dream of giving her a life worthy of her name – to turn her into a true queen.

Until she finds a family to truly love her, Regina needs your help. By adopting her from a distance, you’ll contribute to her food, medical care, and decent living conditions, helping her regain her dignity and trust.

Be Regina’s hero!
Even a small monthly contribution can make the difference between suffering and happiness. Regina deserves a chance at a royal life – help her feel it!

How your sponsorship helps Regina

Every dog at Speranța Shelter deserves food, warmth, medical care and love, whether they find a home next month or spend many more years with us.

Dogs like Regina often wait the longest for a home. Whether or not Regina ever finds a forever family, your sponsorship means they never go without.

Although your sponsorship is linked to Regina, your donation also helps us care for every dog at Speranța Shelter. Together, we make sure no rescued dog is ever left without the essentials they need.

By sponsoring Regina, you’re helping provide:

  • Nutritious meals every day
  • Veterinary care, including check-ups, medication and treatment whenever needed
  • A safe place to live, with warm shelter during Romania's cold winters
  • Exercise, enrichment and companionship to keep them healthy and happy
  • Special care, rehabilitation or mobility support if their condition requires it

Prefer to make a one-off gift?

If you’d rather make a single contribution instead of sponsoring monthly, you can make a one-off donation to support Regina.

Your gift will help cover the cost of food, veterinary care, shelter and everything else they need throughout the year.

Unlike monthly sponsorship, this option does not include regular updates or a dedicated sponsorship relationship with Regina. It’s simply another meaningful way to help provide the care they deserve.

Why dogs like Regina need sponsors

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.

Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.

Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.

Sponsorship allows dogs like Regina to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
