Muțica's story

Muțica is a well-raised and quiet dog, curious and very willing to not just interact but be understood by a person. She is always willing to find out what is happening in her surroundings, and this makes her a wonderful candidate for the eventual dog-training.

It’s true that Muțica is already 12 years old, but compared to the life of a normal dog, she is practically a child. She has lived in the shelter for such a long time that she doesn’t know how life is outside the shelter and she is craving, desperately craving, to see and find out how to live a happy life.

In Mutica’s case, a little goes a long way.

HOW DOES SPONSORSHIP WORK?

Sponsoring Muțica is easy

1.

Set-up your sponsorship

Tell us a little about you, choose your monthly amount and confirm your sponsorship with your first payment. After that, it’s automatic, nothing more for you to do.

2.

Receive updates

Once your sponsorship begins, we'll send you a welcome email with your sponsorship certificate. Every month, you'll receive updates and photos, so you can see how Muțica is doing and the difference your support is making.

3.

Manage your sponsorship

You can manage your donation by accessing the Donor Portal from the emails confirming your monthly payment. You can edit or cancel your sponsorship anytime.

Prefer to make a one-off gift?

If you’d rather make a single contribution instead of sponsoring monthly, you can make a one-off donation to support Muțica.

Your gift will help cover the cost of food, veterinary care, shelter and everything else they need throughout the year.

Unlike monthly sponsorship, this option does not include regular updates or a dedicated sponsorship relationship with Muțica. It’s simply another meaningful way to help provide the care they deserve.

Why dogs like Muțica need sponsors

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.

Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.

Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.

Sponsorship allows dogs like Muțica to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
