Geony is a male, around 8 years old, beautiful and gentle. He lives in the shelter and needs your support for food, care, and a bit of daily joy.
Through long-distance adoption, you can help Geony have a better life, even if you cannot take him home. You’ll become part of his story and give him the chance for brighter days.
Tell us a little about you, choose your monthly amount and confirm your sponsorship with your first payment. After that, it’s automatic, nothing more for you to do.
Once your sponsorship begins, we'll send you a welcome email with your sponsorship certificate. Every month, you'll receive updates and photos, so you can see how Geony is doing and the difference your support is making.
You can manage your donation by accessing the Donor Portal from the emails confirming your monthly payment. You can edit or cancel your sponsorship anytime.
If you’d rather make a single contribution instead of sponsoring monthly, you can make a one-off donation to support Geony.
Your gift will help cover the cost of food, veterinary care, shelter and everything else they need throughout the year.
Unlike monthly sponsorship, this option does not include regular updates or a dedicated sponsorship relationship with Geony. It’s simply another meaningful way to help provide the care they deserve.
Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.
Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.
Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.
Sponsorship allows dogs like Geony to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
For more than 20 years, Speranța Shelter has been rescuing, treating and caring for abandoned dogs in Romania.
Today, more than 500 dogs rely on us every day for food, medical treatment, rehabilitation and a safe place to live while they wait for a forever home.
Every sponsorship helps us continue this work.
