Cezar's story

Cezar was only a puppy when the world showed him its cruelest side. 💔

Found near a railway station in Romania, Cezar had been chased away by people when he desperately needed help.

One of his paws had been hit by a car and was so badly damaged that our veterinary team at Speranța Shelter had no choice but to amputate it.

Now, Cezar is safe and recovering, learning to adjust to life on three legs. But his journey is far from over, and he still needs ongoing care, patience and love.

Tell us a little about you, choose your monthly amount and confirm your sponsorship with your first payment. After that, it’s automatic, nothing more for you to do.

Receive updates

Once your sponsorship begins, we'll send you a welcome email with your sponsorship certificate. Every month, you'll receive updates and photos, so you can see how Cezar is doing and the difference your support is making.

Manage your sponsorship

You can manage your donation by accessing the Donor Portal from the emails confirming your monthly payment. You can edit or cancel your sponsorship anytime.

Why dogs like Cezar need sponsors

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.

Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.

Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.

Sponsorship allows dogs like Cezar to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
