Become Colț's hero, even from afar

Colț's story

Colt’s as pretty as a picture. And like a painting he has sat and waited, almost motionless, day after day, for almost 14 years, for someone to save him.

The savior has not yet appeared, but Colt seems determined to keep hoping. The wait for this quiet, loving dog will only last longer if that rescuer continues to delay. And it will end tragically, as in so many hundreds of other cases that we know only personally, if Colt dies believing that all his hope was in vain.

Adopt Colt from afar, please. At the very least.

HOW DOES SPONSORSHIP WORK?

Sponsoring Colț is easy

1.

Set-up your sponsorship

Tell us a little about you, choose your monthly amount and confirm your sponsorship with your first payment. After that, it’s automatic, nothing more for you to do.

2.

Receive updates

Once your sponsorship begins, we'll send you a welcome email with your sponsorship certificate. Every month, you'll receive updates and photos, so you can see how Colț is doing and the difference your support is making.

3.

Manage your sponsorship

You can manage your donation by accessing the Donor Portal from the emails confirming your monthly payment. You can edit or cancel your sponsorship anytime.

Prefer to make a one-off gift?

If you’d rather make a single contribution instead of sponsoring monthly, you can make a one-off donation to support Colț.

Your gift will help cover the cost of food, veterinary care, shelter and everything else they need throughout the year.

Unlike monthly sponsorship, this option does not include regular updates or a dedicated sponsorship relationship with Colț. It’s simply another meaningful way to help provide the care they deserve.

Why dogs like Colț need sponsors

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.

Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.

Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.

Sponsorship allows dogs like Colț to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
